Learn how to replace the batteries in your Xfinity Home devices.
When some devices' batteries begin to expire, a low-battery alert displays on:
- The Xfinity Home app and your touchscreen if you subscribe to Xfinity Home Pro Protection.
- The Xfinity app if you subscribe to Xfinity Home Self Protection.
Replace the battery within two weeks of receiving the alert.
If you receive a low battery alert within 30 days of device installation, please contact us.
Batteries can be purchased online at Battery Junction or at local retail stores.
Contact us if you need assistance troubleshooting your battery issue. If we determine there is a problem with the battery, we may send you a replacement battery free of charge.

- Xfinity Home Pro Protection or Self Protection
- Access to your Xfinity Home devices
- Access to the Xfinity Home app or touchscreen if you subscribe to Pro Protection

- Small flathead screwdriver
- Small Phillips-head screwdriver
- Replacement batteries
- Two-sided tape (for certain Wireless Keypads and Sensors)

The Alula PRM requires a technician to replace the battery. If a low battery alert occurs, it should resolve within 24 hours of power being restored to the PRM. If the alert doesn't resolve, please contact us to schedule a technician visit.
