We understand that the fewer nuisance calls you receive, the better. These calls are disruptive, frustrating and often dangerous – sometimes trying to obtain personal information to perpetrate scams that cause financial harm. That’s why we offer a variety of tools and features to help combat them.
To learn more about Xfinity Voice features that control Nuisance and Spam Calls, please view our help and support article.
Disable voice features that control nuisance calls
Xfinity Voice customers can adjust or disable many Xfinity Voice features that help control Nuisance Calls. If the tips above don’t resolve your call blocking questions, see Report Potential Call Blocking Errors below.
- Spam Blocker: To adjust your Spam Blocker settings, please see Spam Blocker Controls and Setting.
- Anonymous Call Rejection: To disable Anonymous Call Rejection, please see Use the Anonymous Call Rejection Feature with Xfinity Voice.
- Nomorobo: To unsubscribe to Nomorobo, a third-party application, please see How To Stop Unsolicited Robocalls to Your Home.
- Call Screening: To disable Call Screening or remove a telephone number from your list, please see Use the Call Screening Feature with Xfinity Voice.
Note: Callers can decrease the likelihood that calls to Xfinity Voice customers will be blocked by disabling Caller ID Blocking and ensuring calls are made from a valid North American Plan Number telephone number.
- Anonymous Call Rejection: Calls to Xfinity Voice customers who have Anonymous Call Rejection enabled won’t go through if you’ve blocked your Caller ID information. Please ask your voice service provider how to disable your Caller ID blocking; many phone companies allow you to unblock your Caller ID by:
- Lifting the receiver and listening for the dial tone.
- Pressing *87 and listening for a confirmation tone that the feature has been canceled.
