If an agent troubleshooting your door/window sensor, motion sensor, or wireless keypad determines that it needs to be replaced, you'll be sent a kit that will allow you to replace the device yourself.
Use these instructions to delete an existing device from your Xfinity Home Pro Protection or Self Protection system and then add its replacement. Once the new device is paired, remove the old device from its mounting and install its replacement.
If you subscribe to Xfinity Home Pro Protection:
- To replace a door/window or motion sensor, you must contact an agent for a one-time code. This ensures that only authorized parties make changes to your security system.
- To avoid false alarms, be sure your system is disarmed before you begin the replacement process.
Help protect our environment. Please properly recycle your discarded batteries and don't put them in the trash. For your convenience, batteries are accepted for recycling at various locations. Please check call2recycle.org or call 1-800-8-BATTERY (1-800-822-8837) to find a recycling location near you.
