Claiming a refund from Xfinity is easy. If you disconnected your service and returned your Comcast-owned equipment, you will automatically receive a refund for any remaining credit balance on your account to the last payment method on file in about four to six weeks.
If you canceled a pending installation and paid a deposit, you will automatically receive a refund to the last payment method on file in about seven to ten days.
If you don’t receive an automatic refund to your last payment method:
- If your refund is over $500, you’ll receive a check in the mail in seven to 15 business days.
- If your refund is $500 or less, you’ll get an email notification on how to claim the refund digitally at xfinityrefunds.com.

Claim a refund online
- You’ll receive an email notification from notifications@refunds.xfinity.com at your preferred email address with:
- Amount of your refund
- Personal token
- Link to xfinityrefunds.com
- After clicking the link in the email, you should log in to My Digital Wallet by creating a username and password.
- As a first-time user, you must complete and verify your information in My Profile.
- You need to verify your identity by email.
- Once verified, you can confirm the refund by clicking Yes.
- From there, you can choose your preferred refund method: a virtual card, a physical card, or by depositing the amount into your bank account.
- You then need to agree to the Terms.
- Once completed, you get a "Success!" confirmation message.

If I'm due a refund on my disconnected account, when will I receive it?
A refund will be issued in about four to six weeks after you disconnect service. The refund is issued for any remaining credit balance on the account that exceeds the total charges of any unreturned Comcast-owned equipment.
If I canceled my pending installation and I paid a deposit, when will I receive a refund for the deposit?
A refund will be issued in about seven to 10 business days.
If I overpaid in error, will I receive a refund?
When requested, a refund will be issued to for credit balances that resulted from a significant overpayment in error. If you contact us less than 15 days from the date of the overpayment, you will be required to show documentation supporting the overpayment. If you cannot provide the required documentation, it will be at least 15 days before we can issue the refund.
How do I receive a refund, and will I be notified?
If possible, the refund will be applied to the last payment method you have on file. An email will be sent to notify you when the refund is processed.
What if don’t have a payment method on file to issue the refund?
If it's not possible to issue a refund to the last payment method on file:
- For refunds over $500, you’ll receive a check in the mail in seven to 15 business days.
- For refunds $500 or less, we will send you an email asking how you would like to receive your refund.
- If you do not have a verified email address with us, we will send a physical prepaid card with the refund amount through USPS.
- The card will arrive in seven to 15 business days.
What are the terms on the prepaid refund cards?
The prepaid cards, both physical and virtual, are non-reloadable and include a six-month expiration (Valid Thru) date with $3.50 monthly maintenance fees assessed after card expiration until the funds are depleted.
If the card hasn’t been used, and you request a replacement card at any time up to five years after the card expiration date, any monthly maintenance fees assessed against the card account will be reversed prior to card reissuance.
