When you’re hanging out at home, your Xfinity Mobile phone should automatically connect to your Xfinity Home WiFi. If you’re having trouble connecting, here are some things you can try.
Auto-connect from an Android phone
Every Xfinity Mobile Android phone communicates directly with your home router. That means there's no setup required to connect to your home network. Your phone should do it right out of the box.
If for some reason you're not connecting, it could be because you changed the network name or password on your Xfinity Home WiFi. It can take up to 24 hours for your phone to register these changes.
Auto-connect from an iPhone
If you’re unable to connect to your Xfinity Home WiFi from an iPhone, you may need to manually select the network from your phone. Here's how:
- From your Home screen, go to Settings > WiFi.
- Turn on WiFi.
- Your phone will automatically search for available WiFi networks, then tap the name of your home network.
- Enter your network password.
After you connect once, your iPhone should auto-connect to your home network whenever you’re within range. If you ever change your Xfinity Home WiFi network name or password, you’ll need to update the settings on your iPhone as well.
