‘World Of Dance’ Tangos to the Top Spot

‘World of Dance (NBC)

Jennifer Lopez’s new dance competition series World of Dance strutted its way to the top of the XFINITY Weekly Top 20 On Demand Episodes list in its very first week. Ne-Yo, Derek Hough and Lopez are the judges, with Jenna Dewan Tatum as the host, as the search for the best dancer in the country heats up. The series premiere was also a hit in the ratings, as the show had the best summer reality premiere in over 9 years, since ABC’s Wipeout debuted in 2008. The premiere pulled in 9.8 million viewers and it appears NBC has another summer hit on its hands, paired with the top summer series, America’s Got Talent. Catch Up: Steve Harvey seems to be everywhere on TV these days, and he hosts 2 hours of game show fun on Sunday nights with the recent premieres of Celebrity Family Feud and Steve Harvey’s FUNDERDOME. The most popular of all his current series, however, is Little Big Shots, where talented kids show off their amazing skills. The season finale airs this Wednesday night on NBC, and you catch up on all current season episodes right here.

Hot Series: TNT’s new drama Claws is unlike anything airing on TV right now. Niecy Nash stars as the proprietor of a South Florida nail salon, where nails aren’t the only thing on the menu. The other ladies at the salon form a strong sisterhood, and when an opportunity arises to make some quick money, the ladies jump in full bore and the results are quite shocking. Watch the premiere episode right here.

This Week’s Premieres: Face Off  (Syfy – Tuesday), Blood Drive (Syfy – Wednesday), Alone (History – Thursday), The Great British Baking Show (PBS – Friday), Turn: Washington’s Spies (AMC – Saturday).
