The Finale Rules: Each player will rank the final five (and the returnee from the Edge of Extinction) in the order in which they think they will finish. That means the winner will be ranked first, the first runner-up will be ranked second, etc. Each correct placement will result in two points. You will only receive credit for your returnee placement if you have picked the right returnee. However, if you pick the right returnee, you will receive two bonus points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the “Survivor: Edge of Extinction” Power Rankings Challenge Champion!
Last Week: Gabby Pascuzzi had Aurora in spot two, while Gordon Holmes had her in spot one. So, the current score is Team Gabby 95, Team Gordon 96.

|1. Rick: Making his case to win will be easy, in no small part thanks to the pitch that his own adversaries make to the jury every single Tribal Council. They openly talk about how they don’t want to sit next to him at the end, which means Rick can play like he has nothing to lose. I leave you with my initial assessment of Rick, in which I ranked him second-most likely to win the game: “He could be everyone’s best friend, joking and laughing his way to the final three and a million dollars.”||1. Lauren: So…there’s one thing that makes me nervous…didn’t Kelley tell everyone at the Edge of Extinction that Lauren has an idol? If so, she’ll probably have to use it immediately. Maybe it’ll even earn her some points with the 40-person jury.|
|2. Julie: She should be extremely proud of her growth throughout this experience. She played a social and mostly loyal game, and managed to scrape by. But a lot has been made of her being “an emotional player” and someone that people want to sit next to in the Final 3, so I foresee a solid second-place finish (as she has some friends on the jury, like Ron).||2. Victoria: A lot of people are going to consider Victoria to be a coattail rider, even though that doesn’t seem to be the case. She’ll get to the end and maybe score a vote or two, but that’ll probably be it.|
|3. Reem: Whoever the returnee is will likely be a challenge beast, because they won the re-entry challenge. And they’ll likely be good at making fire from all their days on the Edge, so they can easily end up in the Final 3. That’s the logical side of me thinking, but the superfan side of me wants to do this: I’m likely already going to lose to Gordon, so I need to give one final shout out to my girl. Reem—you got this, dude.||3. Joe: My biggest fear in all of this would be that someone would go to the Edge, be besties with the jury, then waltz back in and win the whole thing. I’m hoping the jury will realize that being in the game is way more difficult than being out.|
|4. Lauren: Two words… robbed goddess. After being an underdog the entire game, I unfortunately foresee Lauren going out in one of the most beloved positions losing the fire-making challenge to the more survival-ready Edge of Extinction returnee. Regardless of her placement, she absolutely slayed and I’m so proud of her.||4. Gavin: Someone’s going to have to square off against the returnee in a fire challenge. And, if the returnee is Joseph Von Amazing, that person is going to end up finishing fourth.|
|5. Victoria: Her instinctive feeling that Lauren wanted to work with Julie was probably a haunting bit of foreshadowing. Either she or Gavin will be on the outs when the returnee comes back, and Lauren has an idol that’s good until the Final 5. She played a near-perfect game until now and that’s something even an ice-queen should be proud of.||5. Rick: Rick’s tightrope will get narrower when he has a returnee to contend with in immunity challenges. And once he’s vulnerable, he’s a goner. My bet is that will happen at final five.|
|6. Gavin: If I’m basing my guesses off my prediction that Rick wins, then that means the next biggest challenge threat goes as soon as they’re vulnerable. Gavin played a savvy game but there just aren’t enough people left in the game to shield him anymore. Long live the pineapple king!||6. Julie: Ugh…I’m so mad they made this whole thing so complicated. So, I’m thinking Joe comes back and wins final six immunity, Rick uses his idol for himself, and Lauren uses her idol to counter whoever Julie, Rick, and Joe vote for, thus sending Julie home. I guess.|
