We asked Jesse Lee Soffer, who plays Det. Halstead on Chicago P.D., to give us the inside scoop on his cast mates – in a single sentence – and he did (but in more than a sentence).
Jason Beghe: “He’s an actor who puts so much respect for his job, and puts so much effort into it, that he comes off as extremely intense. But the truth is, it’s really just love for what he does, and I think that’s what makes his character so great.”
Sophia Bush: She’s a very hard worker, She kills it. She’s kind of our mascot. She’s the leader, the one that’s beating the drum and making sure everybody’s doing a good job.
Marina Squerciati: She is so eager and such a hard worker. She works her butt off. If you look at her sides, it’s like she’s written a novel on every page – character thoughts, possibilities, ideas, and motivations.
Patrick Flueger: He’s very much the class clown. A goofball. Always good for a laugh, always entertaining, making sure things never get too heavy on the set, especially with the content we deal with.
Jon Seda: I can’t say enough good things about the guy. What a lovely, honorable dude, with such integrity. He never utters a bad word about anyone. He’s a great role model.
LeRoyce Hawkins: Another goofball – just like me. Sometimes it’s hard between Patty, LeRoyce and myself to get stuff done on the set because we’re having such a good time.
