The Blend: Kevin Keller Coming To TV, Fortune Feimster To ABC and Alan Cumming Talks BFF Monica Lewinsky

In the comics, Kevin went so far as to get married! Love that!

“Riverdale”: Leave it to out producer Greg Berlanti to veer into another arena of comics than where he helped create the current series “Arrowand The Flash.” Berlanti is now going to bring a live action version of the iconic Archie comic books to the small screen and, yes, gay character Kevin Keller will be a big part of the show. As reported by Deadline, the show will focus on the town of Riverdale with the love triangle of Archie Andrews with Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge being prominent as well as feature other characters like rival Reggie Mantle and bff Jughead Jones. Besides Keller, we could also see other characters from the Archie Comics library like Josie and the Pussycats. Alas, I haven’t heard Mr. Weatherbee’s name mentioned yet but let’s hope he’ll be there, too.

The Originals” Gay Love Story: I’ve covered the upcoming romance between gay vamp Josh (Steven Krueger) for awhile now but in last night’s episode we met Aiden (Colin Woodell) and Executive Producer Michael Narducci talked to me about what we can expect moving forward. Check out my TheBacklot interview here.

Faking It” to GLAAD: As if we couldn’t love the MTV queer-centric show more, two cast members – Michael Willett and Rita Volk stopped by the offices of GLAAD and GLAAD made sure the cameras were rolling. Here’s what they had to say abou the show and the messages it’s sending out.

Fortune Feimster to ABC: Many insiders thought the Fox pilot “Cabot College” was going to get a fall order but, thankfully, ABC is picking up another project with the out Feimster, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The untitled comedy, which got a script with penalty agreement, will follow Feimster’s character’s stand up comedy and family life in North Carolina, where the comedienne grew up. This project reteams Feimster with the “Cabot College” team of Tina Fey, Matt Hubbard and Robert Carlock. Hopefully this project will get on the air since the fabulously funny Feimster is long overdue for prime time!

Mickey (Robert Michael Morris) will be back in the new episodes of 'The Comeback' (HBO)

Lisa Kudrow loves gay men: As if she didn’t already have the gays in her back pocket with the November 9th return of The Comeback.” The former “Friends” star, who also just kicked off a new season of Web Therapy” on Showtime, recently told PrideSource about the gay men in her life and who are anxiously awaiting the return of Kudrow’s on-air persona, Valerie Cherish. “The people I work with are gay,” she said in the interview. “I don’t know who I’m going to offend by leaving them out, but I need to say that I think gay men are superior beings in my mind. I do believe that.”  She then talked about the brains of gay men and said, “They’re not women – they’re still men – and women also have thicker corpus callosums, so I think it’s the combination of those qualities that makes them like a superhuman to me.” Love you back, Lisa Kudrow!

NPH on “Conan“: Sure, I may have said recently on Sirius XM that I felt like Neil Patrick Harris was on the brink of being over-exposed but even I have to admit that I thought he did a great job in “Gone Girl” and will more than likely kill it hosting the Oscars next Spring. Here he is on “Conan” last week talking about that as well as his wedding. (This episode was prior to yesterday’s announcement that NPH will be hosting a variety show for NBC.)

Watch What Happens Live:” On last Thursday’s episode of the Bravo talkfest, host Andy Cohen had out performers Victor Garber and Alan Cumming on the show playing games like “What’s Under The Kilt” and trying to remember plotlines from “Alias” but during the call-in segment, a caller ventured to ask Cumming about his seemingly unlikely friendship with Monica Lewinsky and he had some great things to say about the tabloid figure. Check it out.
