So here’s where we pick up when the second season of MTV’s “Faking It” airs tonight: Amy finally told Karma that she’s in love with her. Karma was taken aback and couldn’t deal with it so Amy, at her mother’s wedding, decided to throw back some drinks. Meanwhile, Liam was also feeling low about a bump in the road with Karma so he decided to throw back some drinks, too. So who should wind up in bed together at the end of the night? Liam and Amy!
So, where does the action pick up in the new season? I ventured to the “Faking It” set to find out and grabbed some time with stars Katie Stevens (Karma), Rita Volk (Amy), Gregg Sulkin (Liam) and creator Carter Covington (who also weighed in on LGBT characters/stories in my recent TV Showrunners feature). I also talked with Bailey De Young (Lauren), whose character of Lauren is revealed as being intersex and the cast talked about what they knew and didn’t know about the subject. (Michael Willett, who plays Shane, was unexpectedly not working the day I was on set but I’ll be talking with him soon!)
