A new Nippy album is on the way! Praise God!

As one of the millions of Earthlings who still absolutely love Whitney Elizabeth Houston, news of this CD-DVD live album compilation brought a smile to my face. In the ’80s and ’90s, she was without unquestionably “the greatest vocalist in the world” as her friend and mentor Clive Davis told Hoda Kotb this morning on the “Today” show. “I want history to know that,” he continued. He ain’t lying; I want folks to recognize, too. I’ve watched Whitney perform live (shout out to YouTube) and she is fantastic. Her voice is simply the best. It’s puzzling that this will be her first live album?! But hey, better late than never. And given the vocally-challenged artists snatching up awards left and right, it’s good that a legend like Whitney can show ’em how to do it right (or at the very least how to properly carry a note…maybe).

“Whitney Houston Live” will drop on Nov. 10. And yes, I’m getting it!

Check out Clive’s “Today” interview below and watch two of my favorite Whitney Houston live performance videos below: one of the 1987 AMAs and the other of a performance in Sarasota Springs, NY that same year.

Is Blue Ivy’s momma pregnant again?

In other diva news … it seems that Bey may not be preggers after all. Or is she? Baby rumors reignited after Jay Z allegedly changed the lyric in the song “Beach Is Better” to say, “’cause she’s pregnant with another one,” during a performance Friday in Paris. In the days prior, photos of the couple strolling around Europe showed Beyoncé covering her stomach with her hand already had Bey Baby Bump watchers (say that five times fast) speculating.

But Jay Z’s “Life + Times'” official Twitter account recently tweeted a photo of the Carters sipping on what appears to be champagne. Hmmm… (See, this is why I like to only focus on what’s happening with my own womb and no one elses.)

Maybe all of the pregnancy noise was publicity for the couple’s HBO concert special, “Beyoncé and Jay Z: On the Run,” airing Saturday at 9 p.m. ET. Again, the Carters have very savvy PR and marketing teams hired to keep them on our minds so anything is possible. *Kanye shrug*

Watch “Good Morning America” anchors try to figure it out and read more about their recent champagne toast here.

Lupita Nyong’o Loves Her Skin

“Oh, wow, Elmo sees that Miss Lupita’s skin is a beautiful brown color,” the red “Sesame Street” muppet says while starring at the starlet’s hand.

Yes, Elmo, we see it too!

The Academy Award-winning actress taped a two-minute spot about skin and loving the skin you’re in during a recent visit to the children’s show. This is a great message for children of all ages to see. And given the challenges Lupita says she endured when it came to embracing her skin as a child, it seems mighty fitting that she delivers this message. It also reminded me of the “I Love My Hair” song “Sesame Street” aired a few years ago about a brown muppet with Afro-textured hair singing about her hair being an “awesome” part of her.

Jada talks “Gotham”

“We just hope that the audience enjoys watching it as much as we enjoyed making it,” Jada Pinkett-Smith tells “Entertainment Tonight’s” Rocsi Diaz about her new series “Gotham.”

I hope so, too, Jada!

Jada plays villainous mob boss Fish Mooney in the series which debuts Monday at 8 p.m. on Fox. This series is the latest spin on the Bruce Wayne/ Batman tale, focusing more on Bruce’s childhood, specifically his relationship with Commissioner Gordon. I watched reruns of the ’60s “Batman” series as a kid and then the movies and cartoon. So, yeah, I’m looking for this to be well-done and smart. There have been a few murmurs about whether Jada has the stuff to play this role. I think she does but we’ll know for sure in six days.

Watch Jada’s “ET” interview and then check out a first look of the new show below.
