The second season of ABC Family’s “The Fosters” is back on Monday and, if you can’t tell, we’re a little excited.
What's going to happen now that Callie has found out she does not have the same biological father as her brother Jude, thus halting her adoption with Stef and Lena? Will Brandon recover from his end-of-last-season beating? Are Mariana and Jesus going to juggle their respective romantic relationships with everything else going on? And what about the blood we saw on the hands of Stef's ex-husband, Mike, in the finale and the fact that Mariana and Jesus's birth mother is now missing? All that and more kicks off the new season this Monday.
But, there’s more. We were on set recently to talk to the cast and producers about the new season. Yesterday, we posted video interviews with “The Fosters” stars Maia Mitchell (Callie), David Lambert (Brandon) and Teri Polo. Today, we’re checking in with Polo’s on-screen wife, Sherri Saum, and Hayden Byerly (Jude).
In Saum’s video, she talks about Stef’s biggest challenges this season now that she’s pregnant and you’ll see Polo step into the interview and show just how much these two actresses love working together.
Byerly may be the youngest cast member on the show but you’ll see he’s incredibly well-spoken about the show in general as well as the questions brought up in the about Jude’s own confusion about his sexuality.
Check back Monday as we continue our preview of the new season with interviews with Jake T. Austin (Jesus) and series creators Peter Paige and Bradley Bredweg.
‘The Fosters’ second season kicks off Monday at 9pm on ABC Family.
