TV to Si: ‘The Mindy Project’ is Back, Demian Bichir and Pitbull Headed to Late Night

Happy Tuesday! Sadly there will be absolutely nothing on TV tonight sorry. Talk to you tomorrow…….

ha ha sorry but, Happy April Fools’ Day! Of course there is plenty to watch on TV tonight, including the big one hour return of “The Mindy Project” at 9pm on FOX. The last time we saw Dr. Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling), she was swapping saliva (finally!) with Danny (Chris Messina) on the airplane ride home from California. If you think they will live happy ever after, you have another thing coming. Mindy returns to find her ex Cliff (Glenn Howerton) read the email she wrote with Danny’s help. Was it enough to convince him to give their relationship another shot? How will Danny react now that he and Mindy finally took the first step toward something real?

Speaking of problems, life isn’t all cupcakes and unicorns for Dr. Lahiri. An incriminating photo of her has been making the rounds on the internet. She enlists the help of co-worker Dr. Peter Prentice (Adam Pally), but there’s no telling if he’ll come through!

Two of my favorite comedies will also be airing during this time slot, so make sure you set-up your DVR or you catch them on Video on Demand. On “About a Boy,” airing at 9pm on NBC, Will (David Walton) takes Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) to the ER after an accident with a knife. When his young neighbor is assigned hot Doc Dr. Lake (Adrianne Palicki), Will gets all tongue tied when Marcus and his mom Fiona (Minnie Driver) embarrass him— as per usual.

At 930pm on NBC, catch an all new episode of “Growing Up Fisher.” Tonight, Mel (J.K. Simmons) finds marijuana in his daughter’s bag, only to discover someone else put it there. Meanwhile, Henry (Eli Baker) thinks he’s going blind as his birthday approaches.

Syfy Network has a cool new reality competition show entitled, “Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge” airing tonight at 10pm. Much like the format of their hit, “Face Off,” a group of Creature Creators compete against each other to create puppets and animatronics such as those found in science fiction and children’s television shows. The judges will critique the creature designs that the contestants make. The contestants wait in the screening room for the verdict, and the least worthy contestant will be eliminated by Brian Henson, chairman of The Jim Henson Company.

In episode two of the series entitled, "Return of the Skeksis," the creature designers are given the chance to reimagine the fictional species Skeksis from "The Dark Crystal." Later, their characters appear in a screen test for the original 1982 film.

Demian Bichir will be visiting “Chelsea Lately” at 11pm on E!. It was announced this morning that season two of his hit FX series, “The Bridge” will be a family affair. His brother Bruno Bichir will be joining the cast in the role of a wealthy Mexican business leader to winds up involved with Marco (Demian Bichir). But the businessman may not be what he seems. New episodes will begin this summer.

Miami’s own Pitbull, who was just heralded as Music’s New Don by The Hollywood Reporter, will be performing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” tonight at 1130pm on NBC.

Did you see the series finale of “How I Met Your Mother” last night? It’s all everyone is talking about today and it’s mostly not good chatter! If you missed it, check it out below:
