Andy Garcia was honored with a star at the official Miami Walk of Fame inaugural public ceremony while promoting his latest film, “Rio 2” on March 26th. Also honored with a Romero Britto designed star and Key to the City was co-star Jamie Foxx.

"We are thrilled the Miami Walk of Fame's first honorees are Rio 2 and two of its extraordinarily talented superstars, Miami's own Andy Garcia and honorary resident Jamie Foxx," said William D. Talbert, III, CDME, President & CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. "The exciting cultural vibrancy portrayed in Rio 2 mirrors the welcoming multicultural fabric and flavor of Miami, which is a top attraction for our visitors of all ages from around the globe."

Additional cast members Anne Hathaway (“The Dark Knight Rises“), George Lopez (“Saint George“), Jemaine Clement (“Flight of the Conchords“), Kristin Chenoweth (“GCB“), Rodrigo Santoro, and director Carlos Saldanha, attended the ceremony to jointly accept the star for their film.

"Rio 2" tells the story of Blu, Jewel and their three kids after they're hurtled from that magical city to the wilds of the Amazon. As Blu tries to fit in, he goes beak-to-beak with the vengeful Nigel (Clement), and meets the most fearsome adversary of all - his father-in-law.
