The tables have turned, as it is now Oprah Winfrey who is opening up about her personal life in a candid interview.

The TV legend revealed to THR that she has no regrets about not having children.

"If I had kids, my kids would hate me," Winfrey said the publication. "They would have ended up on the equivalent of the Oprah show talking about me; because something [in my life] would have had to suffer and it would've probably been them."

Winfrey gave birth to a baby when she was just 14, and the child only lived for a number of weeks but stated that, even when she was little, she never really motherhood in her future. She did say, however, that the same could not be said for best friend Gayle King, who is a mother of two.

"Gayle was the kind of kid who, in seventh grade home ec class, was writing down her name and the names of her children," Winfrey said. "While she was having those kind of daydreams, I was having daydreams about how I could be Martin Luther King."
