Film actress Liv Tyler is headed to TV for her first television role, and it looks like she picked a good one.
Tyler will co-star in “The Leftovers,” Damon Lindelof’s“Lost” pilot for HBO. The project is based on Tom Perrotta’s novel about life after the Rapture, telling the story of those who were “leftover” and didn’t make the cut.
Tyler will play Meg, "a young woman on the verge of getting married, but needing an escape. As a result, she becomes a target for recruitment by members of an enigmatic cult," according to Deadline.
She joins the previously cast Justin Theroux, who plays a small-town sheriff.
The pilot will be directed by Peter Berg and co-written by Lindelof and Perlotta.
