Although reporting on just the NBC shows that aren’t changing time periods would take far less time, here is the Reader’s Digest version of the midseason schedule the Peacock unfurled on Monday afternoon.

Summer Glau Talks Up ‘Chuck’s Firefly Reunion, ‘Cape’ Crusade

For starters, ‘The Cape‘ will have a two-hour premiere on Sunday, Jan. 9, before settling into a Mondays-at-9 slot starting Jan. 17; there, it will lead out of ‘Chuck.’ At 10 pm, you’ve got ‘Harry’s Law,’ a new David E. Kelley legal dramedy fronted by Kathy Bates (‘Misery’).

But what about…?: ‘The Event’ will take a breather and return Feb. 28; ‘Chase’ moves to Wednesdays-at-10.

Next On ‘The Event’: Bad Girl Vicky Makes A White House Connection

Tuesdays will feature a new season of ‘The Biggest Loser: Couples‘ (premiering Jan. 4), followed by a relocated ‘Law & Order: Los Angeles‘ (starting Feb. 7).

But what about…?: Once ‘LOLA’ arrives on the scene, ‘Parenthood’ will take a break and return March 7, moving to Mondays-at-10.

Wednesdays will kick off with the game show ‘Minute To Win it‘ (premiering Jan. 5), followed by the freshman action-drama ‘Chase.’ Pushed back an hour, ‘Law & Order: SVU‘ closes out the night.

But what about…?: What, ‘Undercovers’? Canceled. ‘Law & Order: LA’? See “Tuesdays,” above.

Seriously Smart?: NBC Schedules Third Hour Of Thursday Sitcoms

As previously reported, NBC Thursdays will now feature not two but three hours’ worth of half-hour comedies. The lineup will look like this, starting January 20:
8/7c ‘Community’
8:30 ‘Perfect Couples‘ (a new rom-com sitcom)
9/8c ‘The Office’
9:30 ‘Parks and Recreation’
10/9c ’30 Rock’
10:30 ‘Outsourced’

Fridays will feature the genealogy series ‘Who Do You Think You Are?‘ (Season 2 premieres Jan. 21) followed by two hours of ‘Dateline.’

And finally, on Sundays: ‘The Marriage Ref‘ returns for a second round on March 6, followed by a new installment of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice‘ (airing from 9 to 11 pm).

Wow. My own head hurts just from boiling that all down for you. Any questions?
