The hills are alive … with more momentous moments on Oprah.
The Big O is pulling out all the stops for her final season, and the latest is likely on many people’s list of “My Favorite Things.”
The cast of 1965’s Oscar-winning film ‘The Sound of Music‘ will reunite for Oprah, appearing together for the first time in 45 years.
Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer and the beloved musical’s singing Swiss-Alps siblings will appear on the Friday, Oct. 29th episode of ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show.’
Yep, in addition to Maria and the Captain will be the grown-up von Trapp kids: Charmian Carr (Liesl), Nicholas Hammond (Friedrich), Heather Menzies-Urich (Louisa), Duane Chase (Kurt), Angela Cartwright (Brigitta), Debbie Turner (Marta) and Kym Karath (Gretl).
“The cast shares secrets from the set, reminiscences about their time together and what their lives have been like in the years since the movie was released,” according to the release.
The appearance also will include a performance by The von Trapp Children, the singing group that features members of the real von Trapp family.
You know you'll be singing along … "Doe, a deer, a female deer. Ray, a drop of golden sun … "
(Sorry for getting that stuck in your head for the rest of the work day, folks!)
