If Larry David‘s frienemy from March 11’s ‘The Marriage Ref’ episode, Madonna, appears on an upcoming episode of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ you will know where you read it first.

“I don’t know, that’s not a bad idea,” David told Fancast on the red carpet of Sunday’s ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ PaleyFest 2010 event in L.A., when asked about having Madonna on his HBO show (whose chances for an eighth season look “pretty good”). “I will think about it.”

The ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ star recently appeared opposite the iconic pop singer and acerbic British comic Ricky Gervais on a panel for NBC’s reality show ‘The Marriage Ref.’ David and Madonna exchanged words over relationships as the normally bomb-throwing Gervais looked on with laughter.

“It was fun – it turned out okay,” David said Sunday about his ‘Marriage Ref’ appearance, in which he questioned Madonna’s relationships with men, and Madonna said she hated David. “We had a good time.”

On the NBC show, which is produced by David’s ‘Seinfeld’ collaborator Jerry Seinfeld, Madonna and David clashed over furniture tastes and couples observations, while Madonna told David not to yell at her.

"How can anybody ever invite you over? You're so critical of furniture," David said.

"You're so critical of women. I'm never inviting you over," Madonna replied, adding that she thought David was giving her a "hateful look."

Watching at home were David’s ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ costars.

“I thought Larry made the show. It was really fun,” Cheryl Hines, who plays David’s estranged wife, Cheryl, says. When asked if Madonna would be good on ‘Curb,’ Hines said, “Why not? She would be great.”

Costar Susie Essman tells Fancast, “I thought he was hilarious on the show. Really, really funny. That combination of the three of them is such an odd combination. It worked. Ricky Gervais, Madonna and Larry David?”
