Christian Slater Being Pursued for New Series

According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC has targeted Christian Slater to replace Rupert Penry-Jones as the lead its new fall drama, ‘The Forgotten.’

The show features a group of amateur detectives led by a former cop whose daughter had been kidnapped three years earlier.

British actor Penry-Jones, played the lead in the pilot.

‘Forgotten’ is slated for the 10 p.m. spot on Tuesdays with its premiere scheduled for September 22.

Slater’s latest venture to TV, last year’s s NBC spy drama ‘My Own Worst Enemy,’ was not renewed for a second season. However, the actor was well received in the role by critics.
