Wherever you go, your new smartphone and cellular-enabled smartwatch or tablet will be right there with you. So protecting them makes a lot of sense.
Xfinity Mobile has partnered with Assurant to offer XMC for newly purchased Xfinity Mobile devices, devices brought to Xfinity Mobile through our Bring Your Own device program (BYOD), and during open enrollment periods. XMC includes early upgrades with no fees for smartphones (after 50% of your device has been paid off), accidental damage protection, mechanical or electrical failure (after the manufacturer’s warranty expires), loss and theft coverage, and the Xfinity Mobile Care by Assurant® app.
What's covered?
Accidental damage coverage
If your device is accidentally damaged (drops, spills, cracks), it'll be repaired or replaced. Service fees/deductibles apply per approved claim.
Mechanical or electrical failure
If your device has a mechanical or electrical breakdown after the manufacturer's warranty expires, your device will be replaced. There is no service fee/deductible for this coverage.
Loss and theft coverage
When your device is lost or stolen, you need help, stat! XMC includes loss and theft coverage so that you can get a phone replacement quickly. Deductibles apply.
Early upgrade without fees
No more waiting forever or paying top dollar to get your hands on the newest device release. Included as part of XMC, you can upgrade your smartphone once 50% of its device price has been paid.
Without XMC, you may still be eligible to upgrade your device, but you may have to pay early-upgrade fees (early upgrades are not available for tablets or watches).
Note: If you’re on a device payment plan (DPP), you’ll be eligible for an upgrade if you are current with your DPP and wireless service payments, your phone is in good working condition and 50% of the device has been paid. Trade-in of an eligible device in good working order is required. Trade-in benefits are provided by The Signal. Program administrative fees are paid to The Signal.

XMC billing
When you have XMC, each billing cycle will include a flat monthly charge, plus tax if applicable, which varies by device. If you add XMC mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount on your initial order statement, then see the full monthly charge on your next monthly bill going forward.
For full details on deductibles and service fees, see the XMC coverage documents.
Service fee or deductible
If your device is accidentally damaged, lost, or stolen, you will pay a service fee or deductible to have it repaired or replaced. There is no service fee or deductible for hardware service (mechanical or electrical failure) replacements and accidental damage — screen-only and back glass-only repairs.
How to file a claim
You can start the process to repair or replace a malfunctioning, accidentally damaged, lost, or stolen device quickly and easily through the Xfinity Mobile Care by Assurant app. Most Android users should have the Xfinity Mobile Care by Assurant app already installed on their device, but iPhone users will need to install the app first. See how easy it is to file a claim 24/7 through Assurant.
Customers can also file a claim by visiting fastclaim.com/xfinitymobile or calling 1-855-884-9771.
Cancellation policy
You may cancel XMC at any time by contacting Xfinity through chat. Upon cancellation, you may receive a prorated refund of the unearned portion of the price you paid for that month, within the time frame required by law. XMC automatically renews each month until canceled. We won't cancel coverage for nonpayment without providing you with notice as required by state law.
XMC is only available on devices associated with active lines of service. If you deactivate your line of service, coverage on your device is automatically canceled.
Note: Unless we tell you otherwise, if you cancel XMC on a device, the device can only be re-enrolled in XMC if it is still within 30 days of the device activation date or during an open enrollment period.
Satisfaction guarantee
We want you to feel that Xfinity Mobile is a perfect match. If you choose to leave us, you can return your device within 14 days from when it ships. If you return your device within 14 days, XMC will be canceled automatically, and you will be refunded, so long as you haven’t submitted any claims.
Learn more about what's included in the satisfaction guarantee and remember all of our devices also come with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.
